General Daz on Global Frequency - Dub Mixtape. Feb 11. 2011 by Generaldaz
I love the work of David OReilly. He's brilliantly imaginative and deliciously twisted. Humur so dark it will make your blackened toenail curl. The External World premiered at last years Venice Film Festival and was posted online just last week. Features cameo voiceovers from Julian Barratt and Adam Buxton.
The rest of his work is worthy of a proper dig.

This mix is a pretty massive edit of the midnight show I played on WMBR during last weeks blizzard. I've mercifully edited my voice out and added quite a number of tracks to what is now a pretty mellow, snow inspired mixtape. Pull up your thermals and have a download.

Despite being almost entirely responsible for the spread of dismal reality telly in the UK, Channel 4 is still capable of creating lovely brand idents. I've been a fan since the channel launched in the 80's with it's classic rolling shapes, and this new package from Rudd Studio doesn't disappoint.
Can I have your job. Please.
Epilepsy inducing title credits from mentalist director Gasper Noé's new film, Enter the Void. Demanding as his last film, Irreversible was, it was the giant, pulsating type and deep black noise hum of the credits that had me running from the cinema, coughing up popcorn. Refreshingly visionary.
